That's a lot of pre-installs. XM announced it's 1 millionth pre-installed radio in a Honda produced auto. According to XM, American Honda is rapidly increasing the availability and volume of Honda and Acura vehicles with XM Satellite Radio. American Honda will equip more than 550,000 of its 2006 model year vehicles with XM. Honda introduced its first factory-installed XM vehicles in 2003."American Honda is pleased to join with our strategic partner XM Satellite Radio in celebrating the sale of our one millionth vehicle with factory-installed XM," said John Mendel, senior vice president of automobile operations, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "XM provides our customers with an enormous variety of entertainment and information as they travel from coast to coast."
Having suffered the loss of Volkswagen and Audi to exclusive Sirius deals, this is somewhat brighter automotive news for XM.
1. If they installing radio with some other features like CD, mp3, it's not so bad, as it is :)
