Take a look around at the Portable Media Expo and Podcasting Conference and you'd notice the one thing that dating services, dance clubs and frat parties try to avoid like the plague: an overwhemling number of men. In fact, only 15% of the show's attendees were women. 97% of TWiT listeners are men. 85% of users of Yahoo! Podcast Search are men. Damn where are all the chicks?Some women find it uncomfortable to podcast in such a testosterone ridden arena, but here's a quick tip to any aspiring woman looking to make it in the podcast world: talk about sex a lot. Not necessarily Porn mind you, though that wouldn't hurt, but if there's a sure fire way to guarantee rapid listener growth just sprinkle your content with some suggestive dialog. Honestly, men really are that shallow.

That's an understatment. Just the promise of some sex talk and a cute sounding voice is enough to get me to sample for a minute or two. Of course, beyond that if the content sucks I immediately delete and move on.
