Audible today unveiled their new AudibleWordcast service, a toolset meant to help podcasters build an advertising-based and subscription-based podcasting service. Wow.Coordinate multiple revenue streams with ad management, dynamic ad insertion(!!!), and secured transactions. The main thing behind AudibleWordcast is that the advertising industry needs to have viable tracking and metrics. What's the point of advertising if you can't measure it? That's where Wordcast comes in - Audible will serve as a 3rd party podcast advertising audit system - measuring not just downloads (which can be easily inflated), but measure actual subscribers.
