Apparently it seems that some Microsoft employees are refusing to use the term "Podcasting" because of its obvious reference to the Apple iPod. In a fit of crybaby refusal, they're now attempting to get the term "Blogcasting" to become the replacement coinage for the medium. Sure it's unsexy and rolls off the tongue like a handful of razor blades, but damnit it's not Apple's and therefore it's fair! A while back, in response to similar whining about the un-ubiquitous nature of the term "Podcasting," several have come up with the compromise that define the "POD" in Podcasting as referring to "Portable On Demand" rather than to the iPod - this seems to have satisfied many - except for Microsoft.
In our own display of a 2-year old temper tantrum, we at Droxy will refuse to use the term "Office" and "Word" due to their obvious and gosh-darn unfair references to Microsoft. So please excuse me while I sit in my Cubicle With A Door and exchange a few Voicecasts with my boss.

1. Oh. How that tickled me...!
