Looks like the travel industry is seeing the value in Podcast technology. Like Virgin Atlantic who's providing globetrotting tourists free audio guides of New York City, allowing them to discover popular
restaurants, shopping areas, and sites that are off-the-beaten "track" (get it?). All you need is a computer (duh) and a portable digital music player (double duh) and you'll be able to access NYC and soon other destinations through Virgin's Podcatcher software. Hotel chains are doing a double-take too. Hilton hotels are installing cables to their clock radios so you can listen to you favorite Podcasts in your hotel room, and the W Hotels are going so far as to allow you to borrow iPod from the concierge that contain tunes handpicked by hotel staff. The W has also been recording musicians performing at their hotels and putting them up on iTunes. Groovy.
